The Last Show

This plaster sculpture is several feet long; the hands and face are life-sized, since they were cast off of actual people.  The film projector is made of cardboard covered by plaster; the hands belong to a volunteer student (thanks for staying after school for this, Cary), and the face is mine.  Yes, I actually had to lubricate my face with oil and lie with my eyes hidden under fake cardboard glasses as assistant students layered strips of cold, wet plaster wrap onto me.  (If you ever get a chance to do this, go for it.  Unforgettable experience.  Not to be repeated, though.)  Sadly, additional layers of plaster needed for stability made the face lose all resemblance.
