This behemoth still-life was the first art project assigned to us in AP Art I.  I had no idea how to approach it, and neither did most of my classmates, as far as I could gather.  Little by little, I got the hang of drawing cloth folds and shadows, which became my favorite subject for the rest of the year, as you will see in my subsequent pencil drawings.  Just goes to show what can be accomplished if you aren't afraid (or otherwise have no choice if you want to pass the class) to try something new and intimidating.
