My apologies for the color mismatch when scanning this slide... the darker pieces are supposed to be visibly bluish.  This project was inspired by Georgia O'Keefe's depictions of flowers and animal skulls enlarged to abstraction.  The actual colored pencil drawing is 24x18".  By the time I was finished with it, I'd spent an unholy number of hours working on it after school and vowed never again to draw ellipses and ovals.
